Skelligs Coast, Ring of Kerry Cottage

Our warm and cosy, two bedroom stone cottage, with wood burning stove and rustic finish, is a true country retreat! Sitting among trees at the foot of a mountain, the cottage is the perfect base for exploring the wonderful South Kerry.

The cottage, which was renovated from a stone ruin over 10 years ago, has all the charm of an old farm cottage with the conveniences of a modern home. The main room consists of a large open space with a low ceiling over one half, which forms the dining area. The other half is a double height space consisting of a sitting area in front of the fireplace with wood burning stove. The bedroom is accessed by a door next to the sitting area. This double height room with a king sized bed is the master bedroom. The stairs from the main room takes you to an open half-loft/mezzanine on which there are two more beds; 1 single and 1 double.

At the opposite end of the main room from the fireplace is an arch which leads to the kitchen and shower-room.

The cottage is self-contained on its own plot of land at the end of a private country lane and will be totally yours for the duration of your stay.

We will meet you on arrival. Other than that we are nearby for chats or anything else you may need.

Your surroundings will be beautiful South Kerry countryside and your nearest neighbours will be the Kerry Bog Ponies we keep on our farm. The cottage is set among trees and is very secluded.

We are 3.5 miles from the nearest town, Cahersiveen, where you will find supermarkets and a variety of quirky, lively and traditional pubs, shops, cafés and restaurants.

You will need transport, be it cycle or drive.

This is the perfect location from which to explore the stunning Skellig Cost on the Wild Atlantic Way. Fishing, hiking, cycling, golf, and horse riding can all be easily organised. The nearest beach is only 4 miles away and there are many others within easy reach. if you plan on Visiting the Skelligs we advise booking your trip as early as possible. As places are limited.
